According to AAA, gas prices in California reached an all-time high yesterday as the statewide average reached $4.655, the highest since June 19, 2008, when the average was $4.6096. Gas prices increased by four cents on Sunday, which is nothing compared to the 12 cent jump that Saturday saw. In case you were wondering, these are the highest gas prices in the nation; California has replaced Hawaii. Some residents are even paying over $5 at certain locations.

AAA's Daily Fuel Gauge claims that the national average for gas this past weekend was $3.81, which is abnormally high for the fall. Despite the soaring cost of gas in California, prices in other states have begun to decrease.
