No doubt inspired by the current presidential elections, ABC has just bought a political drama from The Newsroom writer Gideon Yago, tentatively titled City Hall. According to The Hollywood Reporter, the series will revolve around a city mayor and her staff in Oakland, California, who "take on the political establishment while juggling their personal and social lives." All characters are reported to be in their 20's and 30's, so basically Grey's Anatomy in city government.

Yago will write and executive produce the drama, and Revenge consulting producer Bob Sertner will also executive produce.
