Roger Ebert, the most celebrated film critic in the country, is about to be the subject of a documentary based on his memoir, according to The Playlist. And in typical Ebert fashion, this isn’t going to be a cheap documentary made by film industry hopefuls; instead, some true A-list talent is already attached to the project. Check out his tweet below:

Whoa! My memoir has been optioned for a doc by Steve James ("Hoop Dreams") and Steven Zaillian, with Martin Scorsese as exec producer.

With Steve James, Steven Zaillian, and Martin Scorsese on board, Ebert’s memoir, titled Life Itself, should be in good hands. We’ll have more details on this documentary as they become available.
