Nate Parker Is In Negotiations For A Role In Spike Lee’s “Old Boy” Remake

He'll be reuniting with Lee if he takes the job.

According to Variety, Nate Parker (Red Tails, Red Hook Summer) is in talks to join the cast of Spike Lee’s remake of Old Boy. The site is saying that if the deal goes through, Parker would play a doctor that works with Elizabeth Olsen’s character. This gig would also reunite him with Lee, who directed him in Red Hook Summer.

In Old Boy, Josh Brolin stars as a man named Joe who is captured and imprisoned in a hotel room for over two decades for seemingly no reason. When he is released, he is told that he has four days to find out why he was locked up. Sharlto Copley and Samuel L. Jackson will also appear in the film.
