If you ever find yourself jealous of the fact that the cast of reality shows like Jersey Shore and TLC's newest addition, Here Comes Honey Boo Boo, get to act more or less ridiculous on television and get paid for it, we've got some consolation for you: The Honey Boo Boo family didn't really make all that much. The cast of Jersey Shore did, but hey, we can't solve all your problems.

Anyway, according to The Hollywood Reporter, TLC's classiest family - as in, all six members put together - only earned $40,000 for their participation in the 10-episode first season of the series, putting their collective salary at only $2,000 to $4,000 per episode. Though it can be argued that that's a lot to be paid for merely living and letting cameras film you doing so, in terms of reality television salaries, that's nothing - even Jon and Kate Gosselin earned about $22,500 per episode when their series, Jon & Kate Plus 8 was still on air.

June Shannon, mother in the Honey Boo Boo clan, spoke to TMZ regarding the salary leak, and reportedly "laughed out loud" at the report. She, however, declined to say how much the family really makes for the series.
