Green Eggs and Ham, this is not.

When Theodor Geisel—aka Dr. Seuss—was a captain in the U.S. Army during World War II, he would create pamphlets and films for troops. One such pamphlet on malaria prevention included a mosquito named Ann who fed on the blood of G.I.'s (the Anopheles Mosquito were transmitters of malaria). Yeah.

Written in classic Dr. Seuss-style, a pieces of the pamphlet reads, "Ann moves around at night (a real party gal) and she's got a thirst...she drinks G.I. blood."

Does anyone else wish they could've been in the meeting where Dr. Seuss pitched Ann the bloodthirsty mosquito to Random House?
