For the second time in the past few months, the release date for Brad Pitt’s upcoming crime drama, Killing Them Softly, has been pushed back. Originally it was supposed to be released this month, but then it was delayed until October 19. Now Deadline is reporting that The Weinstein Company has again changed the release date to November 30.

This move was done so that the film would face no real competition on its opening weekend. Not only will the movie stand to make more money that way, but it will also be right in the middle of Oscar season when films get noticed more by the Academy. If the buzz around this flick is any indication, director Andrew Dominik might have a modern crime classic on his hands. Killing Them Softly might just be worth the wait after all.
