Cobie Smulders is heading to Starbuck. According to The Hollywood Reporter, the How I Met Your Mother and Avengers star is in negotiations to join the Vince Vaughn-starring comedy, which is based on a 2011 French-Canadian film of the same name, and is about a man (portrayed by Vaughn) who, after donating his sperm years ago, discovers that he's the father of 533 children. When hundreds of his kids want to meet their father - only known to the world as the mysterious "Starbuck," - he's forced to step up and reveal his true identity. We can think of at least ten guys who sympathize.
Smulders is in negotiations to portray Vaughn's pregnant girlfriend, who has heard of the Starbuck story, but has no clue her boyfriend is the one behind it all. Writer and director of the original film, Ken Hill, is set to write the script and direct.
