According to unnamed sources in the new issue of Us Weekly, Tom Cruise prevented his soon-to-be-ex-wife Katie Holmes from signing on to do a Dawson's Creek reunion movie because he felt "going backward would be bad." Producers were eager to reunite her with old co-stars James Van Der Beek and Joshua Jackson, and the actress was reportedly interested, wanting to "reconnect to her fans" and "have fun"—two things that marriage to her domineering Scientologist husband had prevented her from doing.

The real question here: If Cruise thought Holmes returning to the most successful vehicle of her career would have been a bad move, what the hell was he thinking letting her be in Adam Sandler's godawful Jack and Jill? Step your controlling husband game up, Tom.
