"Modern Warfare 3" and "Black Ops" DLC is Half Off for Fourth of July

Now the British can celebrate Independence Day along with us.

Activision is pulling a classy move with a big sale on DLC for the last two Call of Duty games, Black Ops and Modern Warfare 3.

All the DLC released so far on Xbox 360, PS3 and PC is 50 percent off starting today and lasting for a week (except for European PS3 owners, for whom the sale begins tomorrow). And Activision is donating "a portion" of the proceeds from these sales to their Call of Duty Endowment, a non-profit that provides job placement and training services to veterans.

The discounted DLC packs include Content Collections one and two for Modern Warfare 3, as well as the "First Strike," "Escalation," "Annihilation," and "Rezurrection" packs for Black Ops.

These packs include a variety of multiplayer maps, modes, Spec Ops missions for MW 3, and zombies content for BO.

Hopefully Call of Duty fans in England won't be too put off by the celebration of the time we kicked their asses to join in on the sale.

Is the Call of Duty DLC worth the asking price? What about at half off? Tell us what you think in the comments or on Twitter.
