How's this for an alternate reality to take your DeLorean to? According to Vulture, initially network AMC wasn't completely convinced that Bryan Cranston - formerly of Malcolm in the Middle - could take on the role of the most badass of the badasses, Walter White, in Breaking Bad. In fact, apparently, they were gunning for either John Cusack or Matthew Broderick to fill the role instead.

Luckily for all of us though, because how weird  would either of those guys look without any hair, both Cusack and Broderick passed, leaving the role open for Cranston. And now it's the best show ever.

Even alterna-1985 isn't as scary as a world with one of those guys as Walt.
