Big Thor 2 casting news: According to Vulture, the role of Fandral is set to be recast, as the current actor, Josh Dallas, has commitments to his role as Prince Charming in ABC's Once Upon a Time which pose major scheduling conflicts with production of the film. Sources are saying that the role will be offered to former Chuck star, Zachary Levi, who was actually originally set to play the role in the first film anyway, but had to drop out due to conflicts with his shooting schedule on Chuck. It's not a done deal yet, but apparently, Marvel is set to offer to role to Levi "any day now."
It's not the most obvious recasting choice, considering Dallas is blond-haired and blue-eyed while Levi clearly is not that, but hey, what's a little continuity sacrifice in Hollywood, right?
