Since it debuted at number one at the box office last week, and beat the likes of Avengers and Men in Black III, Universal is moving ahead with a sequel to its surprise hit, Snow White and the Huntsman, according to Deadline. Writer David Koepp (Spider-Man, Men in Black III) has already been pegged by the studio to pen the script, but no details on the story have been revealed.
First time director, Rupert Sanders, impressed the studio so much that the site is reporting that Universal wants him back, but because he's not under contract to return, he could always wind up attached to another project. It also isn't known which members of the original cast will return; however, there was some recent talk of giving Chris Hemsworth's Huntsman character his own spinoff film, so it will be interesting to see if that's still the direction the studio wants to go in.
