Nintendo President Satoru Iwata closed out a recent shareholders' meeting by announcing that Nintendo plans to release details about the Japanese release of the Wii U this fall, according to a translation from Andriasang.

Despite word that the Wii U will launch worldwide by the end of 2012, Nintendo has kept a lot of information about the upcoming console, including key logistical details like the retail price and regional launch dates, close to the vest.

Many expected Nintendo to pull the trigger earlier this month, announcing Wii U logistics during their E3 keynote: Nintendo didn't release any information about the console's release at any of their three E3 press conferences.

Rumors with supported by varying levels of evidence have suggested the console will launch this November.

So the question is - Does Nintendo's decision to wait mean the console will be delayed into 2013? Or at the very least until late December, after this year's holiday rush? Assess the situation and let us know what you're thinking in the comments or on Twitter!
