Amazon Strikes Deal With MGM To Bring Classics To Prime Streaming Service

Everyone wins.

Amazon Prime, the retailer’s subscription service for two-day shipping and loads of free stuff, just got even more awesome. A new licensing agreement with MGM will bring hundreds of classic movies to Prime’s Instant Video streaming catalog, including the likes of The Terminator, Silence of the Lambs, The Good, The Bad, and The Ugly, as well as TV series such as Stargate (!). With 18,000 titles now on offer, Netflix ought to feel threatened.
