George Zimmerman, who killed Trayvon Martin in Sanford, Fla., back in February, appeared in court today as his attorneys lobbied for his release. Judge Kenneth Lester, who revoked Zimmerman’s bond earlier this month, said that he’d need more time to decide if he'll honor Zimmerman's request.

Zimmerman was ordered back to prison after prosecutors learned that Zimmerman and his wife had deceived the court about their financial situation. Though Zimmerman did not testify today, a financial forensic specialist was on hand to show how the Zimmerman’s did not hide funds.

Prosecutor Bernie de la Rionda mentioned that the bulk of the money donated to a PayPal account was distributed between family bank accounts to mislead the court. Zimmerman will remain in prison while Lester makes a decision, and there’s no telling when that may come.
