Crystal Dynamics announced today that the upcoming Tomb Raider reboot will be released a little later than expected. Instead of coming out this Fall, as planned, Lara Croft will be making her dramatic return "in the first quarter of 2013."

"We’re doing things that are completely new to Tomb Raider in this game and the additional development time will allow us to put the finishing touches into the game and polish it to a level that you deserve," says Cyrstal Dynamics chief Darell Gallagher

Tomb Raider is the latest in a string of recent high profile delays, including Bioshock Infinite, and a mysterious EA project some believe to be Dragon Age III. Unlike Infinite, however, Cyrstal Dynamic says that Tomb Raider will still be shown at E3 next month.
