The last new Xbox 360 controller was an important update for fans of fighting games and anything that uses the d-pad, as it was the first Xbox controller ever to feature one that actually worked right. It was also an aesthetic departure, with a grayscale color scheme that left some enthralled and others simply confused as to which buttons were which.
The newest special edition controllers retain the improved d-pad, revert to the original button color scheme, and add an attractive layer of bling to the overall design, reveals Major Nelson. The Chrome Series could be available as soon as May, and will run you $54.99, $5 more than standard wireless controllers. That reflective paint is expensive, after all.
