Who knew ordering legions of loyal minions to do your bidding and fight to the death in your honor could be so fun and colorful?

Pikmin 2 was originally released in 2004 for the Gamecube, though both it and its predecessor were re-released in 2009 as "New Play Control" editions for the Wii. Only the first game made it to US shores, however, until now.

The US version of New Play Control Pikmin 2 is revealed in this months Nintendo Power magazine, according to Duel Analogs, and it's slated to blast off to Wiis in June. The new version gives Wii Remote controls to the Gamecube game, making it easier to corral and control the submissive Pikmin creatures.

Creator Shigeru Miyamoto recently said that we'd be seeing a new Pikmin game at E3, so hopefully we'll get more Pikmin 3 news as the summer approaches. Make your predictions in the comments or on Twitter.
