If you've been keeping track, it's been over four years since Fez was first revealed. Since then we haven't stopped salivating for a moment, and given how short our attention spans are, that's really saying something.

From the mind of indie designer Phil Fish, Fez lets you take control of Gomez, a little white dude with a fez, as he saves the universe from collapsing by collecting magic cubes. It's a 2D game with a 3D twist—you can literally flip the world left and right to reveal new aspects of it. Changing your perspective changes the environment.

It's extremely clever. Considering it took well over four years to make, it had better be. There's even a movie about it; Indie Game: The Movie, about Fish's struggles during development.

You can get the game now for a reasonable 800 Space Bucks ($10) on Xbox Live Arcade. Tell us what you think of the game in the comments or on Twitter.
