Ben Affleck and Justin Timberlake have been pegged to star in director Brad Furman's (The Lincoln Lawyer) upcoming thriller about online gambling, titled Runner, Runner, according to The Hollywood Reporter. The site is reporting that Timberlake's deal has been finalized, and Affleck is in final negotiations with New Regency Productions. The film will be written by Brian Koppelman and David Levien, who wrote 1998's Rounders, which also dealt with the world of gambling.
This will be one of the rare projects Affleck has taken recently that he wasn't behind the camera for. He is also the star and director for this October's Argo, and he just wrapped filming on Terrence Malick's next yet-untitled film as well. Meanwhile, Timberlake continues to hone his acting chops in this September's Trouble With the Curve and next year's Inside Llewyn Davis, directed by the Coen brothers.
