James Bond will have a new flame in his 23rd feature film, Skyfall, played by Greek actress Tonia Sotiropoulouaccording to MI6. The site says that she will be heading to Istanbul to shoot two or three scenes over the course of five days. Sotiropoulou is a relative newcomer to the movie industry, and Skyfall will be her first major production.

The site is reporting that the news broke on the actress' Facebook page where she posted this message: "Dear friends I officially announce I got a part in J. Bond new film!!! Turkey here I come! Thank u all for you love and support! This is officially the happiest day of my life bitches!!!!" What beautiful sentiment.

Originally, Sotiropoulou auditioned for the role of Sévérine, but that part eventually went to French actress Bérénice Marlohe. But Sotiropoulou stuck in the mind of the film's casting director, and they eventually found a part just for her. There is no word yet on how large the role will be, or if Sotiropoulou's character survives for long during the film—Bond's girlfriends have a nasty habit of getting bumped off pretty quickly.

Skyfall will be released in the U.S. on November 9.
