"Wasteland 2" Kickstarter Hits $1.5 Million, Which Means It's Heading To Mac And Linux

Players on PC, Mac and Linux should start preparing for the apocalypse.

We reported a little over a week ago that the Kickstarter fund for Wasteland 2 had reach its goal of $900,000 in a mere two days. Now another milestone has been hit, and with $1.5 million accumulated from backers, the game will also be heading to Mac and Linux.

Wasteland is the original post-apocalypse game, and others, like Fallout and Rage, have riffed heavily on its motif. Nevertheless, it took a Kickstarter project—and funding directly from fans, rather than a traditional publisher—to get the sequel made.

Let's hope it's worth it. If you contribute at least $15, you get the game when it comes out in 2013, so unless you want to pay full price you might as well go help make it. How much have you coughed up? Let us know in the comments or on Twitter.
