It seems that the Playstation Move, by far the least talked-about motion control peripheral in gaming, has been making waves under the radar. Sony announced at GDC that the PlayStation Move is a success, having shipped more than 10.5 million Playstation Move motion controllers.
Keep in mind that "10.5 million shipped" does not mean "10.5 million sold". The fact that Sony hasn't released their sell-though numbers indicates they've sold far fewer. Also, in the interest of keeping things in perspective, more than 18 million Kinect units have been sold as of January, so it's not as if this information changes the Move's place in the motion-gaming hierarchy.
Still, it's good to know that Sony didn't get into the motion-controller game for nothing.
