GameStop has announced that the chain will stop accepting trade-ins of Gamecube consoles, games, and accessories starting April 2nd.

This isn't the first time GameStop discontinued used sales of a platform past its prime. The chain stopped taking Xbox games back in 2009. Realistically they've only been taking trade-ins for so long because Gamecube games and controllers can be used on the Wii.

The Nintendo Gamecube launched in 2001. Nintendo stopped producing the console in 2007.
