Ubisoft announced today that Ghost Recon: Future Soldier has finally been given a hard release date: The long-awaited tactical shooter will be in stores on May 24th.  PC gamers will have to wait until an undisclosed "later date" for their version of the game.

Future Soldier, originally announced in 2009, has been a prominent developing title from Ubisoft for a long time, despite multiple delays.  Until now, the game had a tenuous "March 2012" release window.

Ubisoft also announced that a public multiplayer beta for the game would launch in April on both Xbox 360 and PS3.
