Whenever a new entry in a franchise as huge as Diablo comes out, there's always going to be a vocal group of fans who avidly oppose whatever changes the developers make. They'll do that whether the changes are good or bad, of course, but we still appreciate Blizzard's relative openness in this regard. Today, for example, they've released a blog post detailing many of the changes they've made to Diablo 3's core systems.

They're really two numerous to summarize—we urge you to go read the post if you're at all looking forward to Diablo 3. There are a few that we're particularly excited about, of course, like the removal of Scrolls of Identification, an all new stat system (Strength, Dexterity, Intellect, and Vitality), and UI streamlining.

Are you glad they're taking liberties with the series, or would you rather they kept most of it the same? Let us know in the comments or on Twitter.
