Bioware Considering "The Old Republic" for Mac

It's something they're "looking at."

Joystiq's MMO blog Massively reports that Bioware's considering bringing Star Wars: The Old Republic to Mac OSX. Despite Mac gaming options still being relatively sparse, the game would join World of Warcraft and other MMOs on the platform, as MMOs tend to be less system-taxing than shooters and other popular PC game genres, and thus more widely compatible with Mac computers.

"We know there's a big Mac audience of BioWare fans ... we know that's an important and large audience. And we want to serve that audience," the "Biodocs," Bioware heads Drs. Ray Muzyka and Greg Zeschuk, said. "We've done a lot of Mac ports before of our games. We haven't announced any details yet for The Old Republic, but we know that's an important and large audience.

"We want to get this launch under our belt and everything stabilized and happy, and then we'll look at other platforms, and that's obviously one of the first ones."

Do you think bringing TOR to OSX would be worth it, or should Bioware be focusing on their core, Windows-using fans? Let us know your opinion in the comments or on Twitter.
