On Monday, we reported the tragic news that a stuntman died on the set of The Expendables 2, and that another was seriously injured. At press time, their identities were not revealed at the time, but, Nu Image/Millennium Films released a statement which identified the deceased stuntman as Kun Lieu, and the injured stuntman as Nuo Sun.

Regrettably, the Bulgarian newspapers incorrectly reported that the stunt doubles for Jet Li and Sylvester Stallone were involved in the accident, but this is false and inaccurate. Word is that only Second Unit filming has been temporarily suspended and will get back on track shortly. Main Unit production has not been interrupted and continues as scheduled.
Directed by Simon West, The Expendables 2, which stars the aforementioned Sylvester Stallone, Bruce Willis, Arnold Schwarzenegger, Terry Crews, Chuck Norris, and a host of other aging action stars, will be in theaters on August 17, 2012.
