December is coming fast and that can only mean one thing in the world of video games :Spike TV’s Video Game Awards. This year’s edition of the ceremony is shaping up to be the best ever (and yes, we are a little impartial). Just what makes this year so much better than the past? First off, renowned producer Mark Burnett has signed on as the executive producer of the show, which should ensure that the quality is absolutely through the roof.

That being said, the being news is that our own editor Tina Amini has been tapped to be a part of the judging panel for this year’s awards. Given her taste in games, we know that there will be at least one panelist has some extended knowledge of the industry and a desire to truly honor the industry’s greatest titles.

The annual VGA’s always lead to a ton of game reveals and this year should be no different. It is still early but it is already being teased that we could be seeing the reveals of a new BioWare project and the return of Alan Wake. We will have to to tune in to Spike TV on December 10 at 8 PM EST when the awards ceremony will be broadcast live.
