Warner Bros. Is Already Preparing "Sherlock Holmes 3"

There will be no sleep for Robert Downey Jr. and Jude Law!

None

It's not exactly a shock to hear that Warner Bros. already has plans to make Sherlock Holmes 3. Judging by all the hype created by early footage and trailers from Sherlock Holmes: A Game of Shadows — which hits theaters in about two months — the studio isn't jumping the gun here by assuming the Sherlock sequel will be a blockbuster smash hit. Heat Vision reports that they've hired scribe Drew Pearce (Iron Man 3) to pen the third installment of the popular franchise.

If you think the move is unprecedented—think about this: A Game of Shadows screenwriters Kieran and Michele Mulroney were actually hired three months before director Guy Ritchie's first Sherlock Holmes movie was released in theaters. This is an impressively good idea, since the movie's release is less than two months away, and audiences will have no spoilers to ruin any expectations. No production date has been set as of writing this piece.

What will Holmes and Watson's (played by Jude Law) next case involve? Will Professor Moriarty be involved? Can we share some screen time with Noomi Rapace? All these questions will have answers as the next take on the period detective adventure movie starring Robert Downey Jr. sneaks into theaters on December 16.
