Still doubting the legitimacy of Occupy Wall Street? The Smithsonian sure isn’t. The Washington Postsays that the Smithsonian’s National Museum of American History is collecting signs and other assorted treasures for an exhibit on the protest. With creative protesters crafting attention-grabbing signs every day, we doubt they’ll have a difficult time. The 99 percent has already been immortalized through images, but a Smithsonian exhibit is an undeniably prestigious co-sign.
Don’t be shocked if a few of these end up as part of the exhibit. We’d sure love to see #occupythehood become part of history, and we probably aren’t alone.
