"Music gonna teach them one lesson," Bob Marley once sang, and this week at Joe's Pub (425 Lafayette Street) in NYC Sean Paul, Gyptian, and John Forte made those words a reality at the Rockhouse Foundation benefit. Established by Paul Salmon, owner of New York's celeb haunt Miss Lily's as well as Negril's exclusive Rockhouse Hotel, the Rockhouse Foundation builds and renovates schools and libraries around Jamaica.

Attendees like Matt Dillon, Serge Becker, Spragga Benz, and Olatz Schnabel grooved to the reggae rhythms thrown down by DJs Max Glazer and Complex Music Editor Rob Kenner. Then Tyson Beckford and Sky Nellor presided over a silent auction that raised over $135,000 to teach the youths.
