The roller-coaster that is the Holiday season of 2011 is about to kick off in terms of game releases. From now until early December, pretty much each and every week will be packed to the brim with high-profile releases that we keep us as entertained as are wallets will be empty.

Let’s get this party started:

  • Dead Island for PC, Xbox 360, and PlayStation 3: Is it time for another zombie apocalypse already? This one looks to be a little different though as players will enter into Deep Silver’s open world paradise and fend of the undead.
  • Disgaea 4- A Promise Unforgotten for PlayStation 3: The latest installment in the DIsgaea series is finally here from NIS America, even featuring a sppof-character based on Barack Obama.
  • Driver: San Francisco for Xbox 360 and Playstation 3: The sandbox-driving series is back as Ubisoft brings a new HD entry into the Driver series. Directly following the events of Driv3r, Charles Jericho has survived the events of the last game and fled into San Francisco. Now, in the Golden Gate City, Tanner and Jones frantically seek to bring him back into custody.
  • Penguins of Madagascar: Dr. Blowhole Returns for Xbox 360, PlayStation 3, nintendo Wii, and Nintendo DS: The beloved Penguins of Madagascar are back as they face off agains the evil Dr. Blowhole once again. Regardless of your platform, THQ is prepping a version for you.
  • Resistance 3 for PlayStation 3: Are you ready to stand shoulder to shoulder with man as they face possible extinction? The new game also brings a new era to the PlayStation 3 with the launch of the new PlayStation Pass.
  • Rise of Nightmares for Xbox 360: Immersive-survival-horror is the name of the game in Sega’s new Kinect-exclusive game. Players will assume the role of an American tourist who must rescue his wife from a psychotic scientist. Judging from the footage shown in the trailers, it appears to be Condemned meets Saw... meaning not for the feint of heart.
  • Star Fox 64 3D for Nintendo 3DS: The greatest Star Fox game of all is back and this time in full 3D on Nintendo’s new handheld. This time through the adventure, players can join up with friends in frantic multiplayer modes for up to 4 players.
  • Warhammer 40K- Space Marine for PC, PlayStation 3, and Xbox 360: Table-top RPG fans have a reason to flock to all of the various HD consoles as the Warhammer series releases its latest installment. Relic’s third-person action game could be the best video entrant into the series yet with non-stop action and unparalleled immersion into the Warhammer universe.
