"Ninja Gaiden 3" Gains PlayStation Move Support

For the very first time, players can now control Ryu using a motion controller to swing, and attack his enemies.

We honestly didn't see this announcement from Tecmo Koei coming. Director Yosuke Hayashi says that Ninja Gaiden 3 will be compatible with "all PlayStation 3 Move peripherals," making our dreams of finally becoming a ninja come true. The experience of playing as the titular character Ryu Hayabusa will be made as authentic as possible. Unfortunately, Sony and Tecmo Koei aren't considering adding ninja stars and green mist into the mix.

Neither party has really shared any details as to how Move support will be integrated into the PlayStation 3 version of the game, but we can't see it allowing free-form swordplay, as it goes against the series' design. In addition to motion control support, the game will also include online multi-player that will let up to eight players game on. Ninja Gaiden 3 is due out in early 2012, and finds our hero Ryu packing up his ninja-bags to go to London to chop-suey some terrorists

We'll keep you posted as more news develops.
