LittleBigPlanet 2 DLC Will Be Move Compatible

For those of you that own a copy of Media Molecule's hugely popular puzzle-platformer game LittleBigPlanet 2, we've just received news that their upcoming DLC finally has some details. The new pack will be compatible for the PlayStation Move and features a brand new story mode known as "The Rise of the Cakeling." Gamers will take their Sackboys on an adventure in hopes of restoring peace to Craftworld, after a rouge cake threatens it with doom and destruction.

LittleBigPlanet's biggest downloadable content pack so far has more than just a new storyline. Here's a complete list of bullet points from Media Molecule's website:

  •     A brand new story for LittleBigPlanet 2 – The Rise of the Cakeling with 14 new levels (5 levels, 7 mini games and 2 cutscenes)
  •     A new powerup for Sackboy: The Brane Crane
  •     3 huge new powerful gadgets for use with PlayStation®Move: The Movinator, The Move Recorder, The Paint Tool
  •     4 Interactive Music Tracks
  •     8 Music Sequencer Tracks
  •     A new Sound Object containing 32 new sounds

The DLC pack will also bring backwards compatibility to all previous LittleBigPlanet 2 levels, meaning you'll be able to use the Move controller on all 5 million community levels. The game will be released on September 9th.
