MTV has revealed the first trailer for the upcoming Warner Brothers animated movie, Batman: Year One. Based off of the comic written by Frank Miller with art by Dave Mazzucchelli, this animated film details Batman’s first year as Gotham City’s grim protector.
The original comic, which ran in Batman #404-407, is still hailed as one of the landmark works on the character and was the inspiration for 2005's Batman Begins.
Year One stars Ben McKenzie as a young Bruce Wayne, Bryan Cranston as Jim Gordon, and Eliza Dushku as Catwoman.
Batman: Year One will premiere at the San Diego Comic-Con on July 22 and will be released on October 18.
