Anything Martin Scorsese can do, Darren Aronofsky can do better? Maybe, maybe not. But the Oscar-nominated Black Swan director is taking his talents to HBO to direct the pilot for Michael Chabon's Hobgoblin.
Co-written by Chabon and his wife Ayelet Waldman, the pilot focuses a group of con men and magicians who fight Nazis in the 1940s. So, kinda totally awesome; like The Dirty Dozen mixed with Harry Potter. Right now, HBO is only shooting a pilot, but with talent like Chabon (Kavelier and Clay) and Aronofsky on board, here's hoping it goes to series. Might we suggest a role for Josh Holloway?
