Rachel Weisz must be tired of lo-fi prestige fare, because she's adding another high-profile project to her must-do list: The acclaimed actress may end up co-starring with Jeremy Renner in The Bourne Legacy.

According to Deadline, The Lovely Bones star is now knee-deep in talks to join Tony Gilroy's Bourne spin-off at Universal, hinting at a possible return to her earlier action-inspired The Mummy days. If she takes the role, Weisz would star with Renner, who is playing a highly lethal operative from a secretive government program that's said to be much more troublesome than the Treadstone outfit that spawned Matt Damon's Jason Bourne.

No details are offered yet, but we could see the lithe and limber former fashion model playing an ice cold covert operative. There is cause to believe that this may not happen, however, as a potential scheduling clash is rearing its head. Just last week, word spread that Weisz is also in negotiations to play the baddest witch Evanora in Sam Raimi's Oz: The Great and Powerful for Disney, alongside James Franco and Mila Kunis.

Which one would you rather see Weisz take on: a Bourne spin-off or an Oz prequel? Let us know in the comments section.

With or without Weisz, The Bourne Legacy is pegged for an August 3, 2012 release.
