"L.A. Noire" Got The Jazz, And Remixes Too

Jazz standards not your speed? How about DJ Premier, then?

None

And the L.A. Noire tie-ins just keep coming. Rockstar announced today that two albums would be coming out on legendary jazz label Verve in support of the game: the official soundtrack, which blends conventional orchestral scoring with re-imagined jazz standards from the 1940s; and L.A. Noire: Remixed, an six-track EP that invited modern producers to re-interprest classic tunes from the era.

L.A. Noire: Remixed Tracklist
1. Elle Fitzgerald & Louis Jordan – “Stone Cold Dead in the Market” (Ticklah remix)
2. Lionel Hampton & His Orchestra – “Hey-Ba-Ba-Re-Bop” (Midnight Sun remix)
3. Dinah Washington – “A Slick Chick (On the Mellow Side)” (Maximum Balloon remix)
4. Louis Jordan – “Ain’t Nobody Here But Us Chickens” (DJ Premier remix)
5. Gene Krupa – “Sing Sing Sing” (Truth & Soul Remix)
6. Billie Holiday – “That Ol’ Devil Called Love” (Moodymann remix)

Grab your spats and your zoot suit, because it's about to go down. Both soundtracks will be available on the game's release day, May 17.
