Live Show Alert: Animal Collective Announce Summer Tour

They are gonna build the shit out of some loops! (Just kidding; they're captivating.)

None

Now that Animal Collective proved definitively that they make music you want to dance to (see Merriweather Post Pavilion), can we please just feel unanimously good about seeing them live? Where are the naysayers who complain about AC's live shows being formless slogs, interminably adrift in ponderous loop-building? Bring the naysayers here—we're going to punch them in the face in time to the looped whoop that forms the backbone of "Brother Sport."

All jokes aside, Animal Collective announced a small assortment of dates today. This is a bucket-list band, and now is your time to cross them off. And hopefully be hella cross-faded when Panda Bear yelps his way through "My Girls" and you dance with all the strangers you're crowded against, really really nice people in tiny pants and shirts the color of highlighters. This is fun for us.
