If you've ever wondered why someone like
Joan Rivers gets called "crazy" and washed-up, while someone like
Jerry Lewis is still relevant enough to have people care about his opinion on movie remakes, perhaps Tina Fey can help clear things up for you. The
30 Rock star—and all-around Queen of Comedy and nerd-hot glasses—was profiled in the recent issue of
The New Yorker (online via
SplitSider), and had some fairly harsh words for the Hollywood machine.
"I know older men in comedy who can barely feed and clean themselves, and they still work. The women, though, they’re all 'crazy,'" she said. "I have a suspicion—and hear me out, because this is a rough one—that the definition of 'crazy' in show business is a woman who keeps talking even after no one wants to fuck her anymore."
Tina Fey, everyone! Further proof of her being the coolest writer-comedienne-star in Hollywood is probably not needed.
