If you're a fan of Emmy Rossum or meta-comedy, here's some good news: Showtime has renewedEpisodes and Shameless for second seasons.

“The viewer loyalty and critical acclaim that has met both [shows] since their January debuts makes it clear that these two brash and sophisticated series are burgeoning hits,” said Showtime Entertainment President David Nevins. "We are thrilled with the response to both series and eager to start planning for their second seasons."

Episodes, which is about a British import making a rocky transition to network television stars Matt LeBlanc as "Matt LeBlanc," and has been met with some praise for its goofy premise; Shameless, about an unconventional family facing poverty and addicition (but funny!), features the aforementioned Rossum, who has been prone to cavort nakedly through many an episode. Content aside, you'll likely want to add at least that series to your DVR for season two.
