Photo Fail: Flickr Permanently Deletes Five Years Worth of User's Images

Turns out the Internet isn't forever, after all.

None

As the story goes, a Flickr user reported another user for stealing his copyrighted images, and instead of suspending the account of the infringing user, Yahoo's photo-sharing service went ahead and deleted his account.

A paying Pro user, dude lost over four years worth of pictures. When he inquired about the mishap, Flickr apologized and offered him four years of the Pro service for free. Naturally, he took to his blog, let his frustrations use, and explained the whole situation. All we can say is, damn, homie—that sucks.

Next time you want to e-snitch on someone, let this be a warning.
