Louisiana rapper Webbie has been arrested after an alleged domestic dispute that occurred at a Baton Rouge hotel.

According to BR Proud, authorities were called to the Comfort Inn on Wednesday morning and took a report from Webbie’s 25-year-old girlfriend. The victim told officers that Webbie—legal name Webster Gradney, Jr.—had refused to let her leave the hotel room for more than two hours. During that time, the rapper allegedly assaulted her with a closed fist, an open hand, and a belt. She also told officers Webbie had choked her by holding her to the ground and putting his knee on her throat. Officers said the victim had visible injuries all over her body, including the thighs, back, and head.

The rapper was arrested on felony charges of false imprisonment, theft, and second-degree battery.

Officers also told BR Proud that Webbie had taken the victim’s cell phone away and had been consuming cocaine and marijuana for two days without sleep.

This isn’t the first time Webbie has been arrested on battery charges. Back in 2012, he was put behind bars after he allegedly kicked a woman down a flight of stairs in a Baton Rouge hotel. He was also accused of stealing $340 from the woman’s purse immediately after the attack.

Following a 2011 performance in Tennessee, he was arrested after officers pulled over a rental car he was riding in. He was found with two ounces of marijuana, which he threw out the window. Another passenger faced gun charges, while the person behind the wheel was charged with driving without a license.

The Advocate points out Webbie was arrested back in 2008 following a high-speed police chase. That incident led to a number of charges, including driving under the influence and felony eluding.
