Mensa held a listening session for The Autobiography earlier this month and received a glowing endorsement from Jay Z during the event. The following day he also released the music video for "Rage," a bonus track that appears on the album.

Mensa was a guest on Complex's Everyday Struggle in late June and confronted DJ Akademiks over his coverage of the Chicago rap scene during his time on the show. "I wanted to slap you in your face," Mensa said, while referencing some of the ways Akademiks covered the Chicago scene in the past. "I really felt as if people exactly like you sensationalized and made a following off of clowning situations we go through in real life...whatever made you feel like you had a space to have a perspective of our people dying on a daily basis?"
