There doesn’t appear to have been any reconciliation between former Nicki Minaj flames Safaree Samuels and Meek Mill.
During a recent interview with HipHopDX, Samuels summed up his feelings for Meek in five words.
“Fuck him,” Safaree told DX. “He’s a coward.”
The comments likely stem from Safaree being on the receiving end of an assault on June 23 during BET Awards weekend. The incident, which was caught on video, shows two men roughing Safaree up just after Meek Mill exits an SUV. Before and after the release of the clip, Safaree maintained Meek Mill orchestrated the assault.
Nicki Minaj and Safaree split in 2014, but the two continue to be linked—mainly due to Safaree’s claims of ghostwriting some of Nicki’s earlier hits. With Nicki moving on to Meek Mill before a public split with Meek in January of 2017, the stage was set for some predictable back and forth between both Meek Mill and Safaree. The two traded some subliminal and overt disses.
For his part, Meek has maintained he had no involvement in Safaree being assaulted.
“Ain’t no beef,” Meek told TMZ after the footage of Safaree’s assault went public. “I’m a boss. I’m a don. I don’t even fight. I don’t even know how they got us confused with that type of stuff, man.”
