The Damn Tour is in the process of invading a city near you, and Kendrick Lamar wants to make sure you get your money's worth every time you come to see him in concert. Surprise guests are one of the best parts of any hip-hop show, and Lamar brought out a pretty special one in Brooklyn on Sunday evening.

2 Chainz, fresh off dropping Pretty Girls Like Trap Music, stormed the stage alongside Travis Scott to perform one of the songs from the new project, "4 AM." Though you wouldn't expect anything less from the crew on stage, 2 Chainz brought palpable energy to the stage at Barclays Center, ripping through his verses in his trademark style.

The performance got rave reviews from people in attendance, who claimed to feel a different level of energy once 2 Chainz came through.

I'm just getting home from seeing Dram, Travis Scott + Kendrick Lamar in concert. 2 Chainz came out, too. It was a dope ass show.
Just when I thought Kendrick and Travis killed it Kendrick brought out 2 Chainz for 4 AM 😩🤘🏾

But if you thought fans in the audience were the most excited people in the building, they were probably fighting 2 Chainz himself for that distinction. He immediately went to Instagram once his performance was finished to share footage from the evening, thanking the city and the rappers who made the moment possible.

And really, this is what hip-hop is all about. Kendrick, Scott, and 2 Chainz all exist within their own spaces in the genre, but they looked thrilled to be sharing the stage together and putting on a show for the fans. Rather than take a break during his set, you can see that Kendrick stayed out on the stage to play the most overqualified hypeman on the planet, providing backup vocals during the brief cameo.

You can watch one last snippet of the performance below, and be forever jealous you weren't there to witness it in person.
