Eminem is, by all accounts, working on something. Allen Hughes, director of HBO's Defiant Ones documentary about Dr. Dre and Jimmy Iovine, basically confirmed a new Eminem album was imminent in an interview published mere weeks after 2 Chainz showed everyone this:

Shortly after sharing that hype-inducing Instagram photo, 2 Chainz opened up about his collaboration with Em in an interview in promotion of Pretty Girls Like Trap Music's release. Now, Chainz says he knows nothing about any "new Eminem."

Speaking with Hot 97 Wednesday, 2 Chainz was asked about being in the studio with Eminem. "I don't know anything," Chainz said before being reminded of Hughes' recent comments on Dr. Dre working on a new Em track. "Yeah, let's put that on Dre. He's probably working with Dre. You know, I'm a fan of Eminem." The Eminem inquiry arrives around the 32-minute mark in the video up top.

However, in a separate interview days ago, 2 Chainz got specific and confirmed that whatever they were working on would indeed be on an Eminem project. Not to mention, Hughes was pretty clear in his remarks to Uproxx, so who fucking knows. "Right now [Dre]'s producing, in the 11th hour, a track for Eminem's latest album," he said last week.

Elsewhere in the Hot 97 interview, Chainz revealed what he's been listening to recently (hint: it's Pretty Girls Like Trap Music) and his recent family (i.e. non-musical) hangout with Kanye West (28:45 mark) where he reiterated what he told DJ Drama: Kanye and Jay Z are still "brothers."
