Travis Scott Shares Evidence That Proves He Wasn't Actually Mistaken for Chief Keef

La Flame sets the record straight about the viral video claiming he was mistaken for Chief Keef by a group of children.

Travis Scott has addressed claims of being mistaken for Chief Keef during a recent trip to Johannesburg, South Africa. A video of Scott running into young fans on the street went viral earlier this week, with accompanying tweets alleging that the children in the clip were repeatedly referring to Scott as "Chief Keef!"

Scott debunked these claims Thursday with a captioned video of his own. According to Scott, the fans were actually screaming "I"m on TV!" and "Shoot me," not referring to him as Keef. "U dumb vultures!" Scott said.

When the original footage was captured, Scott was in South Africa with Bryson Tiller for shows in Johannesburg and Polokwane:

Thursday also saw Scott tweeting about passport woes in Paris, where he was set to perform that night. "Back happy," Scott said after apparently relocating his passport. "Never lose ur passport on a plane kids. Shit's a headache."

La Flame fans are currently waiting on two new projects set for 2017 releases, a solo release entitled Astroworld and a currently untitled collaborative effort with Migos' Quavo. Though neither project has been given a firm release window, Scott told a recent concert audience that he and Quavo had been hanging and recording together in Atlanta, Georgia.

After a run of shows overseas, Scott will return to the U.S. in July as an opening act on Kendrick Lamar's highly anticipated Damn Tour.
